Palmistry’s second album Afterlife is out today.

Palmistry is the project of London-based vocalist, songwriter and producer Benjy Keating, known for his stripped back pop and forward thinking production. His second album Afterlife was written in a heatsick haze in Athens, Greece and the Mixpak Studios in Brooklyn, NY, and further pushes his knack for intimate and heartfelt earworms that grapple with disconnection, devotion and the emotions in between.

While his debut album PAGAN was a self-contained effort, with Afterlife Palmistry cracks the door open to some accomplished friends who bring their own colors & textures to his singular world. There’s woozy anthem “Water” produced by SOPHIE, “Tru Luv” – a duet with Miami- based vocalist Toian produced by Benny Blanco, as well as assistance from Ghanaian artist Klu, Cashmere Cat and Mechatok.

Afterlife is pop at the edges, with poetry at the core, evoking bodily sensations, lucid dream states and fractured memories – the slice of an orange, the patter of rain on a car roof and the crushing weight of city life.

Palmistry – Rovin

Palmistry is the project of London-based vocalist, songwriter and producer Benjy Keating, encompassing stripped back pop and forward thinking production. “Rovin” is the second single from his forthcoming sophomore album Afterlife, following the SOPHIE-produced “Water”.

For “Rovin”, Palmistry worked with another longtime collaborator – Berlin based underground producer Mechatok. Together, they’ve crafted another slice of surreal, insular pop, a night out anthem turned inward in Palmistry’s inimitable style.

Afterlife will be released in May 2019 on Mixpak Records.

Today we’re sharing the official video for Firm and Strong. “Firm & Strong” arrives off of Popcaan’s widely-acclaimed sophomore album Forever, which saw him take his sound around the world and culminated with a historic sold-out performance in London at Wembley Arena and his own Unruly Festival in St. Thomas. The black-and-white video is directed by Nabil and follows Popcaan on an introspective journey through Jamaica as he reflects on the trials and tribulations of his youth, and how far he’s come as one of the country’s generational voices in music.

We’re so excited to share a new single from Afro B, Vybz Kartel, and Dre Skull, entitled “Shape Nice”.

Bringing together the sounds & vocal styles of London, New York, Jamaica and Africa, the song is an encapsulation of the ever-present dialogue between afro-pop & dancehall.

Afro B is one of London’s rising stars, with his hit song “Drogba (Joanna)”, which took over London in 2018 and is now on playlist rotation on NY radio. Meanwhile, Vybz Kartel continues to dominate dancehall, with an impressive career spanning decades and more hit songs than you can count. They are united by Dre Skull, who gives them a minimal Afropop beat sure to move your body this summer.
