“Catch” is the first official solo release from South London’s Palmistry. He first began producing in 2011, with London-Cantonese MC Vinh Ngan aka “Triad God,” releasing a full length collaboration on Hippos in Tanks late last year.
An outsider’s take on dancehall, “Catch” is a song inspired by the life- affirming nature of family. Fitting nicely into the Mixpak catalogue, the production takes its signals from the flexible and synthetic fabrics of dancehall riddims and melodies.
The “Catch” video stars Sidney Geubelle and is directed by Palmistry, Daniel Swan and Jim Alexander.
