Murlo & Famous Eno

Murlo & Famous Eno’s first collaborative track ‘Ariel’ is a grime track with as few boundaries and rules as the genre itself. Running at 127bpm and drawing influences from dancehall, bassline and sino¬≠grime, ‘Ariel’ creates its own instrumental hype, playing with rhythm, space and unpredictability. A futuristic dancefloor destroyer, this one has already gained early support from Brackles, Scratcha DVA, Dusk & Blackdown and Visionist with spins on Rinse and BBC 1Xtra.

For his remix, grime veteran Spooky pushes the track to 140, with charging claps that hurtle towards a stretched & sparse breakdown reminiscent of 90s dancehall riddims. Playfully building as the track progresses, Spooky’s vision for ‘Ariel’ is perfect for freestyles on the mic or the floor.
