Mixpak In The Charts

We’ve dropped two releases in the last few weeks and they’re both enjoying some well-deserved chart action. Zombie Disco Squad remix of Cory Blaine’s “Hot Plate” which has been in the Beatport Top 100 House Chart for the last two weeks. Also, our just released “Lord Of Bashy” from Warrior One is crushing it on Juno holding the number one spot on both the UK Funky/UK Garage Bestseller Chart and the Reggae/Dancehall Bestseller Chart. Lord of bashy indeed!

Girl Unit – Wut

Another forthcoming scorcher from the Night Slugs camp.

Girl Unit – Wut

A new Mixpak release drops today! We’ve got a deadly Warrior One single, “Lord Of Bashy,” and it’s truly something special. The London based production duo are making big moves right now and this release sees vocalist Rubi Dan toasting over a very infectious riddim with the perfect dose of low end. With support across the board and consistently fresh tracks like ‘King Riddim’ and “Bad Like Jimmy Cliff,” you can expect to be seeing a lot more from these two. The remixes from Douster, Foamo, Greymatter and Doc Daneeka (our man delivered two!)—range from swampy bashment vibes to militant 2 step sub busters—and they are all crazy good! The Lord Of Bashy Instrumental is thrown in for good measure. Large!

Lord Of Bashy is available as an exclusive at Juno starting today.

In ‘Straight Jeans and Fitted’, Vybz declared he like to wash his face with cake soap (which probably started those accusations that he’s been bleaching his skin to make him look whiter). Now he’s taken that line and made it into a whole song. Soon we’ll have the whole formula: Clarks on your feet, straight jeans, fitted t-shirt and a face washed with cake soap. Which hat shall I wear though Vybz?

Some nice throwback vibes from Cleveland’s up-and-comer, Chip Tha Ripper.
