Juiceboxxx has landed a sweet new mixtape, which includes a banging track produced the Milwaukee rapper himself (track 3, ‘Never Fade Away’).

This is how he described the selection:

10 TRACKS OF EXTREME RAGING AND REAL LIFE SITUATIONS BUT DON’T WORRY IT IS ALSO A LOT OF MOTHERFUCKING FUN. TONS OF DIFFERENT STYLES AND FIDELITIES AND VIBES. THIS MIXTAPE WAS RECORDED ON THE ROAD OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS WITH A LOT OF MY FRIENDS FROM AROUND THE USA AND BEYOND. TOTALLY UNLEASHED AND UNHINGED, MIGHT REMIND YOU OF HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOTS OR BLOWN OUT BASEMENT SHOW PAS OR ROAD TRIPS OR MOVIES ABOUT ROAD TRIPS

A Bag of Grease

Grime releases are looking very healthy this year and now that there are some quality EPs hitting the shelves regularly I am going to pick out the biggest tunes that are getting the reloads on radio and in the raves to share with all of you. A lot of the vocal EPs are mainly digital only releases, but the instrumentals are usually on both vinyl and digital. So here are my top 5 Grime EPs and singles out now:

1: Newham Generals – Bag of Grease EP (Dirty Stank) digital

2: D.O.K & Spyro – Golden Axe EP (Hardrive) vinyl/digital

3: P Money – Ho! Riddim (Black Butter) digital

4: Wiley – The Radio Kid (Launchpad) digital

5: Rival – Jus Rival free download

Look At Me Teaser Video

Dre Skull and Lil Scrappy

Next Tuesday, November 2nd, we’re dropping the Dre Skull-produced Lil Scrappy single Look At Me. In the meantime, we wanted to share some footage we shot when Dre went down to S-Line Studios in Atlanta to record. Scrappy wrote his hook to paper (as depicted), but—for the record—he did did not “write” his verses and instead built them on the microphone into Pro Tools. Maybe we can get Dre to elaborate on the process in a future post. Enjoy!

Doe or Die 2

This is the first leak from AZ‘s Doe Or Die 2, the sequel to one of the best (and most underrated) Hip Hop records of all time. With Statik Selektah at the boards you already know this goes hard. Doe Or Die 2 is released on the 23rd of November.

In further AZ/Statik news, there is talk of a full collaborative LP to be released in early 2011. Oh. My. Gawd.

Wiley in Jamaica!

‘Retired’ Eskiboy, Wiley, has left his E3 homestead to go hang in the studio in Jamaica with the producers at Prodigal Entertainment, where they’ve been putting together their latest, the Showa Eski riddim. The riddim will also feature bashment regulars Lady Chann, Natalie Storm, Ward 21 and more, and I’m placing my bet that it’s going to go hard. Serious UK-JA connection!

Check out Wiley’s promo banger, ‘It’s Wiley’, a stone-cold grime track produced in Jamaica. Who needs E3?

Showa Eski is set to drop next month, watch this space.
