Carnival kept us busy this year as NTS enlisted us to provide a special one-off mix in celebration. It’s two jam-packed hours of dancehall, soca, grime & reggae that will definitely make you feel like you’re smack in the middle of Powis Terrace right as Carnival gets live.
With the strong musical mind of an expert DJ, a lifetime of club adventures and a string of accomplished EP’s, Jubilee delivers her debut album, “After Hours”, out on Mixpak on October 21st. It’s a record full of meticulously programmed sub-bass, 808 and 909 prowess and masterfully restrained, timeless production techniques. Notting Hill Carnival is upon us and our exclusive ‘In Session’ mix for Mixmag is charged with the kind of energy that runs through Europe’s biggest street party. In our own words: “It’s a hi NRG Caribbean-influenced mix (all above 120bpm), so a lot of Jamaican tracks but also some Trini, Dominican and UK vibes inside.”
