Flatlands Riddim Plus

The brilliant Flatlands riddim from NYC’s Federation Sound finally drops on iTunes, after a horrible wait and some even more horrible times trying to google ‘Doggy‘ and not quite getting what you were searching for. The riddim has been bumped up to an incredible 12 cuts, adding to the original voicings from Mr Lexx, Natalie Storm & Mr Vegas, Bling Dawg, Flippa Mafia and Terro 3000 (already a great line-up) to include Ward 21, Prince Zimboo, Bitta Blood, Red Foxx and more. I can’t stress how wicked this riddim is. Grab it from iTunes now.

This documentary from ’89 delves into the mad phenomenon of Hip House, featuring interviews with the names from the scene: Fast Eddie, Tyree Cooper & Rockie Jones. It’s worth watching for the fashion and dance routines alone. Just one rule: ‘don’t say club rap!’
