Lazer Crystal is a Chicago based, synth-driven trio comprised of members of Majohngg. Their vertiginous new record MCMLXXX is out now on Thrill Jockey Records. And if you get a chance to see them play live, do it.
Wicked laid-back vibe from the West Coaster, Dom Kennedy, and New Orleans’ Curren$y, holidaying on ‘Hennessy Beach’.

Mixpak 015 is brought to you by Jubilee, NYC bass queen who is one half of the Nightshifters label, hosts her own show, Fireworks, on Brooklyn radio, forms part of production duo Bassanovva with Grahmzilla, has collaborated with the likes of Star Eyes and Udachi, and runs parties like Flashing Lights, maybe the first rave to ever have happened in a Chinese restaurant.
We asked her to add a Mixpak FM podcast to her incredible list of multi-tasking and she delivered this party mix that bounces from Cooly G to Kelly Rowland. Close your eyes and imagine you’re wiling out in a dim sum joint.
You can subscribe to Mixpak FM via iTunes, subscribe with an RSS reader from the Mixpak FM site or download this mix directly.

“Euphoria” is a deep-cut Jungle track by a group called The House Crew. The song appeared on a 7-inch vinyl back in the year 1993 along with the Crew’s hit “The Theme.” It can also be found on the really interesting Speed Limit 140 BPM +2 compilation out on Planet Earth Recordings. The compilation is enough to get any bass-head’s head bobbing.
