Real Scenes: Berlin

Real Scenes: Berlin from Resident Advisor on Vimeo.

This is the third installment in the Real Scenes documentary series put together by Resident Advisor. They’ve covered the Detroit and Bristol electronic scenes as well. All the docs include a playlist in the credits, so if you’re looking to update your deep-house collection, pay attention!

From the same folks that brought up Das Racist and Stalley, comes Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire. “The Song That Never Ends” video is out in anticipation of eXquire’s debut album Lost In Translation which is out on Mishka for free download. It’s not Grime but it’s super grimy.

‘Pharaohs’, taken from SBTRKT’s self-titled debut LP, gets a lucid, stripped-back video by director, Tim Brown. Vocalist Roses Gabor, features in the video, wearing tribal face paint as she dances in the centre of a studio surrounded by cameras.

Melé’s anticipated Starlight EP will be out tomorrow on Mixpak, via all the usual outlets. Watch this space for an exclusive giveaway and full release information tomorrow. Go here to read the XLR8R review, or listen to the whole EP below.
