UTTU’s DJ Haus (aka Hot City) has just dropped his latest single, ‘Needin You’, a classic hardcore track that now comes complete with the usual trippy visuals from the Just Jam fam. For an analogue tip, check out the re-rub from DFA’s Capracapra. Go here to get the full release.

Here’s a fresh banger from Mixpak fam, Melé. The track’s got a massive Trapaholic kick bass, dirty, skittering snare rushes and a synth line homage to Sega Genesis era Sonic the Hedgehog. It’s a combo of future beats and vintage gamer nostalgia. Get those coins!

You might not know exactly why at first, but Bare Fuzz will draw you in and not let you stop moving. Of course there’s the pumping subs and the buried but knocking kicks, yet there’s much more going on behind that sweltering immediacy. Deceptive intricacies abound, whether it be the plethora of polyrhythms, drifting syncopation, or the shape-shifting rhythmic effects. And then there’s that emotive piano that drops unexpectedly deep into it. With this tune, DVA takes a break from the neostropic soul foundation of most of the album this appears on, Pretty Ugly, which dropped last week on Hyperdub. Connect with your mind and your body.
Germany’s Soulforce crew have teamed up with Motagen for this remix of our Natalie Storm & Sticky track ‘Look Pon Me’, giving it the ska touch. It’s up for the free download on their soundcloud:
