Supergenius Records will…explore various genres and take many different directions, influenced by Koyote’s obsession for ghetto music but also soul and blaxploitation, psychedelic rock, French impressionist music and Memphis rap – imagine having Mr Fingers, Omar S, Curtis Mayfield, Frank Zappa, Erik Satie & Juicy J caught in a studio with only a karaoke machine…
Supergenius Records will expose unreleased material by Koyote himself and collaborations with other artists as well as new and developing talents. The first release, “Mystery Makes Me Horny”, by former Institubes DJ Out One, is an outsider take on ghetto house from a Parisian producer sharing Koyote’s “everything goes” ethos.
Mixpak FM 035 comes from BD1982, Japan-based producer who co-runs the Diskotopia label and forms part of the Seclusiasis crew. Having first caught our attention with his 2011 release, ‘Shotta Pon Di Corner’, he has since been releasing records on Think 2wice, Diskotopia, Silverback Recordings and his latest EP, out today on B.YRSELF division. With influences that run as far and wide as dancehall to italo-horror soundtracks, his sound is constantly moving and changing.
His Mixpak FM features his own productions alongside big UK underground sounds – from Slackk to Samoyed.

“Like A Renegade” is the first single off of Juice’s much anticipated I DON’T WANT TO GO INTO THE DARKNESS, full length. The single has a Beastie Boys, Rap-Rock, road anthem feel (see the track “High Planes Drifter” on Paul’s Boutique) and Juiceboxxx’s songwriting knack is on full display as he balances heavy themes of identity with a party-rager levity.
