Strip Steve – Astral Projection (Andy Petr Remix)

Here’s a fresh Petr remix of Strip Steve’s voluminously groovy “Astral Projection.” The remix takes the retro disco vibes of the original track and blasts them into the twenty-first century with glittering synth sheen and layers of dense percussion lines. Petr’s sophomore Mixpak release, Obsession, dropped last week, and if you haven’t grabbed it yet, you can cop it here. Also, Petr is playing a show with Blondes this Friday, July 20th in Brooklyn, check it out if your lucky enough to be in the area.

Popcaan – ‘Poppy Says’

It’s all go on the Popcaan news front – the video for ‘The System’ dropped just last week, followed by a medley video, a much deserved Gen F feature on The Fader, and now a new tune produced by TJ set for release next Tuesday. ‘Poppy Says’ on the Looking Glass riddim sees Hot Skull go in for the fast-flow & a serious falsetto.
