Popcaan – Forever on LP/CD!

You asked and we delivered – Popcaan’s Forever album is finally out on vinyl and CD! The 3LP set includes a deluxe slipcase and 140g white vinyl as well as an 8 page photo booklet. Check the photos below

We’ve also repressed Vybz Kartel’s classic Kingston Story, produced by Dre Skull, on deluxe gatefold vinyl. Upon its release in 2011, Kingston Story was hailed as Kartel’s strongest full album to date, and spawned classics like “Yuh Love” and “Half on a Baby“.

PLEASE NOTE: All orders for domestic delivery by Christmas must be placed by WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19.

Orders made after THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20 will ship in EARLY 2019.

Popcaan – Wine For Me Video Out Now!

Today, Popcaan is back to share a new video. “Wine For Me” arrives off of his long-awaited sophomore album Forever, released this summer. The visual is directed by Willo Perron – a frequent Drake, Rihanna & Kanye collaborator and Imogene Strauss for WP&A – and sees Popcaan taking main stage in a colorful, enthralling world, letting his charisma shine through.
Perron had this to say about the video, “Mixpak approached us to do this video and being huge Popcaan fans we of course said yes and chose an extremely ambitious concept – a one shot video with projection mapping, camera movements, choreographed dance and a moving set, all without VFX.”
The video arrives ahead of Popcaan embarking on a UK arena tour in December, where he’ll play three shows across the UK, including a stop at London’s iconic Wembley SSE Arena.

We’ll be debuting some special new Popcaan merch before it drops online, along with DJ sets from Mixpak friends and family and new label tees, lighters, records, and more. Come through to check it out or just hang and say hi.

Silent Addy on Red Bull Radio today

Today on our Red Bull Radio show we’re excited to welcome Miami based selector Silent Addy! He’ll be talking about his career as one of the top promoters in a revitalized Miami dancehall scene, as well as throwing down a mix. In his own words:

Although actions speak louder than words, much can be said about Silent Addy. The DJ, The producer, and The Creative Visionary revitalizing Miami’s dancehall scene. Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, he has already made a name for himself headlining some of South Florida’s biggest Caribbean events. Chances are, if you’ve vibed to dancehall music in Miami in the past decade, it was because of Silent Addy. His acclaimed parties have a vast and loyal following and have brought out the likes of music icons such as Diplo, Sean Paul, and Ape Drums.

Whether he’s behind the decks, producing Miami’s coolest events, or collaborating with some of your favorite dancehall artists, Silent Addy is bringing Jamaican culture to the forefront and proving that you don’t need a lot of words to make a lot of noise.
