Like a fence constructed of found material, this track by DJ4Kat is built on some readily available records. But its makeshift appearance houses a party so sturdy it could run until morning. Chopped samples of Beenie Man “Who Am I” are stacked onto similarly dismantled pieces of 50 Cent “In Da Club” and then sealed with new raw percussion and sounds. Then she adds a presumably Arabic element to the disoriented yet still familiar feel of this jumble. The Montreal producer specializes in dark riddims and beats with a touch of global influence.
